Hosting Thanksgiving? Here’s How Party Rentals Can Help
So you’re hosting Thanksgiving this year. Congrats (and good luck)! Between the turkey, the sides, and figuring out where Aunt Linda is going to sit, it’s a lot. The good news is you don’t have to borrow folding chairs from three different neighbors or squeeze 20 people around a kitchen table built for six. Just In Case Party Rentals is here to help with Thanksgiving party rentals across Buffalo and Western New York, from tables and chairs to linens and games that keep the whole family busy until the pie comes out.

Thanksgiving Hosting Ideas for Families
Here are our favorite Thanksgiving hosting ideas, and the rentals that make them easy.
- One big family table. Line up banquet tables so everyone eats together, kids and grown-ups included.
- A fall color palette. Use linens in whatever colors fit your table — warm harvest tones, classic white, or any color you want (just call about a week ahead).
- A buffet line that actually works. Give the food its own table so the dining table stays clear for plates and elbows.
- Something for the kids (and the competitive uncles). Giant games keep everyone entertained between dinner and dessert.
- A pre-dinner snack stop. Fresh popcorn while the football game is on keeps people out of the kitchen while the turkey finishes.
- A family photo moment. Thanksgiving is one of the few times everyone is in the same room, so make sure you get the picture.
- Room to spread out. Garage or backyard overflow space for when the house just can’t hold everyone.

A SEAT FOR EVERYONE
Make Room for Everyone at the Table
The number one Thanksgiving hosting headache is seating, and that’s exactly where we come in. Our 8ft Banquet Tables fit 8–10 people each if you squeeze and use the ends, so you can line a few up end to end for that long family-style table everyone pictures when they think of Thanksgiving. Working with a tighter dining room or basement? Our 6ft Tables fit 6–8 the same way, and they work great as a buffet or dessert table too. If you’d rather have a few smaller conversation tables (perfect for a kids’ table that doesn’t feel like a punishment), check out our 5ft Round Tables.
Then make sure everyone has somewhere comfy to sit through a second helping. Our White Padded Chairs are the cozy, dressed-up option for a long holiday dinner, while our Tan Event Chairs and White Event Chairs are simple, sturdy choices that match any setup. Don’t forget linens to finish the look. We carry linens in any color you want — just give us about a week’s notice so we can get your pick ready — and we’ll match them to your table sizes so everything looks like it was made for your Thanksgiving dinner.
Have enough on your plate already (literally)? You can add table set-up and chair set-up to your order so everything is ready to go when your guests arrive.

FAMILY FUN
Keep the Kids (and Cousins) Busy
Once the food is gone and the adults are settled in for the game, the kids are going to need something to do, and honestly so will some of the adults. Our yard game rentals are a perfect fit for a family gathering because all ages can play. Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, and the Giant Checkers Set work great in a basement, garage, or family room, while Cornhole and Yardzee are classic Western New York favorites. If you’re looking at bigger inflatable games indoors, those need taller ceiling space — we’ll help you pick what fits.
Want to keep the fall theme going? Our Pumpkin Bowling game and 6ft Tall Giant Fall Plinko fit right in with the harvest vibe, and since football is basically a Thanksgiving tradition, our Quarterback Toss lets your future pros show off their arm at halftime. If you want a few games in one, our 4 Game Party Package is an easy way to bundle and save. You can browse all of our party rental packages for more deals.

MAKE IT A CELEBRATION
The Little Extras That Make It Feel Like a Celebration
The turkey always seems to take longer than planned, so having snacks out while everyone waits is a lifesaver. Our Popcorn Machine is a great match for game time, and if you want the full treat lineup, our Concession Party Package comes with a popcorn machine, cotton candy machine, and snow cone machine, plus supplies for 50 servings of each. Keep drinks cold and out of your already-packed fridge with a White Drink Cooler.
With the whole family finally in one place, you’re definitely going to want pictures. Our photo booth rental is a digital booth that sends pictures right to your phone, and you can request a custom photo booth template with your family name and the year on it, made by our team for free.
Hosting a really big crowd? If the house just can’t fit everyone, a tent in the backyard or driveway gives you extra room. Our 20 x 20 Frame Tent Party Package includes the tent, six 8ft banquet tables, and 48 event chairs all in one rental. Since Buffalo in November can be, well, Buffalo in November, add tent sidewalls, tent lights, and our Outdoor Propane Heaters to keep everyone warm and comfortable. Just ask our team about the best setup for your space, since heaters need proper ventilation.
Thanksgiving Planning Tips
- Book early. Thanksgiving week is busy, so reserve your tables and chairs as soon as you have a rough guest count.
- Count your seats, not just your guests. Plan for a couple of extra chairs for surprise plus-ones and the cousin who “might stop by.”
- Measure your space. Know how much room you have so you can choose between long banquet tables, 6ft tables, or rounds, and still leave walkways for passing the gravy.
- Plan your zones. Keep the dining area, buffet, drinks, and games separate so the kitchen doesn’t become the only place people gather.
- Ask about delivery timing. Standard delivery can be up to 2 days before your event, with pickup up to 2 days after at no extra charge, so you can set up early and clean up on your own schedule.
- Have a weather plan. If you’re using outdoor space, think sidewalls and heaters, and keep a backup plan inside.
